Glen Etive is undoubtedly  1 of my favourite places in Scotland.

In winter, the deer are known to approach cars near Loch Etive, looking for food. Obviously encouraged by many visitors to the area.

This mother and fawn are not tame, and the picture I had always wanted was of deer at the falls.

When I saw them from the distance, I parked my car, and ran up a steep slope to the brow of a hill giving me a view from the right direction to get them with the falls behind.

Hoping they hadn`t moved by the time I got there, as I could no longer see them at this point, I slowly slid my camera over the brow of the hill and angled my live-view rotating screen so I could take some shots without any part of me being in view at all. I managed to get 3 shots before they saw the camera and bolted .

Waterfalls give off a slight breeze, so with that behind them, they couldn`t smell me, or hear, me over the roar of the falls.
